57% of Evangelical Christians don't believe Jesus

Sounds awful doesn't it? But if "christians" say there are more ways to get to heaven than through Jesus Christ, it's obvious that those people who say such things cannot believe Christ. Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through Me" (John 3:16)....

America remains a deeply religious nation, but a new survey finds most Americans don't believe their tradition is the only way to eternal life — even if the denomination's teachings say otherwise.

The findings, revealed Monday in a survey of 35,000 adults, can either be taken as a positive sign of growing religious tolerance, or disturbing evidence that Americans dismiss or don't know fundamental teachings of their own faiths.

Among the more startling numbers in the survey, conducted last year by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life: 57 percent of evangelical church attenders said they believe many religions can lead to eternal life, in conflict with traditional evangelical teaching.

In all, 70 percent of Americans with a religious affiliation shared that view, and 68 percent said there is more than one true way to interpret the teachings of their own religion. READ MORE HERE

There will be Blood

I don't know if you have seen the movie "There will be blood" or not, but it's a kind of weird story about a cruel oil man and a church. To me there is a great deal of symbolism between power and the church, but I won't get off on that tangent. There is a scene in this movie where the oil man explains why he didn't buy this one family's land because he didn't need to buy it, all the oil that was under their land could be sucked up without owning the land. Well, China is drilling off the coast of Florida now, our own oil companies can't. At a time of economic hardship our elected representatives couldn't care less about the plight of Americans who are suffering financially and they don't care if communists are essentially stealing the resources right out from underneath our land. We need laws like this...

The only problem is, how many self loathing Americans are there who would vote anybody in as a citizen?

The Swiss are poised to vote on whether to revive secret ballots to decide on citizenship - an issue that has stirred passions on both sides.

Switzerland's Supreme Court outlawed the secret ballots five years ago, ruling that they were discriminatory. But many Swiss say not allowing voters to have the final say violates Switzerland's system of direct democracy.

Switzerland already has some of the toughest naturalisation laws in the world.

Candidates for citizenship must have lived in the country for at least 12 years - they must prove that they can speak the language, and that they understand Swiss laws and culture.

I wonder if the local authorities ever called the murder of Sarah and Amina Said an honor killing yet? Their Father who murdered them is still at large. He is either back in Egypt or is being shuttled around in an Islamic underground railroad here in the US. If he is being shuttled around in an underground railroad, this wouldn't surprise me one bit. Muslims would think that such a thing as Honor killing is "Allah's Law" (Sharia) and would think what he did was permissible. They don't care about western laws.
